Abaca (Manila hemp) [Abaca Club]

Products made fully or partly from cellulose fiber originated from abaca plant, which is a perennial herbaceous plant and grows up fast to yield the fibers from its leaf sheaths a few times a year. The abaca fiber is renewable, biodegradable, sustainable, eco-friendly and further characterized by its high mechanical strength, resistance to saltwater damage and long fiber length. The fabric produced from the abaca fiber is suitable for hotel linens because of its luster, linen- or ramie-like texture without an uncomfortable prick feeling, high water absorbency, high wet strength, durability against repetitive washing, and antimicrobial property.

This product is made 100% or partially from cellulose fiber derived from Manila hemp (Abaca). Abaca is a perennial plant, a remarkable sustainable material that grows quickly and can cut its leaf sheath two to four times a year to extract its fiber. Abaca fiber is renewable, biodegradable, and environmentally friendly. Its high luster, tensile strength, and strength make it ideal for use in hotel linens that are subject to repeated washing. It has a texture similar to linen or ramie, but does not prickle on the skin. It has high water absorbency and does not lose its strength when wet. It also has antibacterial and deodorizing effects, making it functional in places where cleanliness is required.
